I’m not claiming this to be the best record ever. Too be honest, it’s more a case of having not seen this posted anywhere on the Internet and label Boss Tuneage doesn’t appear to be selling it anymore. So anyway, Rope came from Flintshire in Wales and here present 7 tracks of competent melodic punk reminding me of early Senseless Things or even the Doughboys…but with Fergal Sharkey’s gruffer brother on vocals. It’s a strange one, every track is catchy and enjoyable yet sometimes the songs feel like they have been playing for a lot longer than they have. Listening to it now, I’m enjoying it, but as my man Mustain would say…so far, so good, so what!
